Captain SaveAman

You had been through hell on earth, so I could see the devil in you. But that alone couldn’t stop me from trying to change what you had turned into. I thought to myself, just maybe if he passed through the heaven in me, he could turn into the angel that I wanted him to be.

Captain SaveAman, I had made myself out to be!

I had just finished school when you resurfaced into my life. It was like you had been watching to approach me when the time was right. I knew about your father not being around and how your mother was focusing on her own wellbeing. I hated your mother for not raising you right. I hated her for selling your soul to save hers. I could have hated your father for walking away, but what use would it be to waste my emotion on a coward!

I was determined to be your super hero. I surrounded you with those that could change your ways. I took you to events meant for sane people and everyone stared at me like I had become insane. I never understood why people tried to save me from you instead of lending a helping hand to save you from hell. I guess they realized that you had become lucifer himself. I guess I should have realized that you belonged in hell! You called me a dime while I spent it all on you. Something didn’t add up without numbers in it.

Captain SaveAman began to look beat up.
I looked sicker and you looked alive.
Captain SaveAman just couldn’t keep up.
Took shots of liquor so I could survive

Captain SaveAman began to look beat up.
I looked sicker and you looked alive.
Captain SaveAman just couldn’t keep up.
You looked for someone else so you could survive

Captain SaveAman began to look beat up.
she looked sicker and you looked alive.
Captain SaveAman just couldn’t keep up.
You found someone else so you could survive

Captain SaveAman began to look beat up.
she looked sicker and you looked alive.
Captain SaveAman just couldn’t keep up.

You came back to me once I had survived.

I cannot save a man that can’t save himself,
here goes my cape, put it on yourself!

  1. Impressive. I like the construct however it’s not really detailed. Would have loved to extract lessons from it. Things he did that we should be careful of if we observe or encounter similar behavioral patterns.

    1. Thank you! I would try to be more detailed next time. “You called me a dime while i spent it all on you” was meant to be the give away but I definitely could have written more about his ways 🙂
